Sorting the new bows

Spring is comng...at least at Aurora Dog Bows

 It's -20 below outside but the Aurora Bows new studio is filled with spring dog bows. Yup - it's time to order those Valentine's, Easter, and Spring pastel bows for your grooming shop or favorite pooch. 

I love my new studio on the shores of Lake Mille Lacs in Northern Minnesota. I have room to spread out and organize. Shipping is so much easier with a dedicated shipping station. I've been building inventory everyday and hope to update my etsy photos very soon.

Also, I'm working on a "keep fill" subscription option so you will be able to have a standing order and receive your bows on a scheduled basis without having to worry about reordering on time. Of course, this will come with a subscriber discount and maybe a few other benefits.

Certainly, it will guarantee that subscribers get the top pick of all the new bow styles I come up with. 

This time of year the All Pink dog bows sell very well. 

Nearly all of my bows are now non directional (with the exception of hearts and a few traditional ties that are by request). They go on quick and easy when your hands are tired from brushing, scissoring, and clipping

Listia

Small Korker Bows

I've been playing about a bit with Listia. They send out an email invitation and it looked intriguing. It is a money free auction type site.  They give you some "points" to begin. I listed some bows that were quite popular with the bidders.  I decided to try listing a few more.  I'm not sure I like everything about it yet; but, it might be a way to gain a little visibility on the web. And, a way to get my bows on more puppies.  That's what it is really all about afterall.
I've got little hearts and shamrocks stuck to my clothes and in my hair.  Having a great time getting all the holiday bows ready.  Just about to begin on Easter.  It is great fun to be working with the spring colors in the dead of a very cold and snowy Alaskan winter.

Ready for the Wearin' o' the Green?

St. Patrick's Day will be here soon.  Spring is coming.  Green is the color of March.  I just added these minty green puff bows to the shop today.

New graphics

The time has come for me to face the music.  I've been sitting the fence on my branding for several years.  I have made scads of logos and designs for other businesses.  Somehow doing my own is deal last priority. I need to order business cards again soon.  And, it's high time I face up to this.  So, for the past few weeks I've spent countless hours in Photoshop.  I let each design or idea steep for a day or so then I toss it out.

Until today.  It finally came together.  I am inspired by Erin Bradley Designs though I know with my tiny profit margin, I cannot afford to spend on something I should do for myself.  It's hard to see my work eve being good enough with Erin's style being near perfect.  See what I've done?

Now, I just need to place the order for the cards and stickers and make sure I've got the new profile picture and headers every place they need to be.  What a job!  I feel a great sense of accomplishment.  What do you think?

I also spent several hours heat sealing ends on a huge batch of inspiring Easter and Spring colored ribbon.  I can hardly wait to make it into bows.  Of course, now I'm even further behind getting items into my shop.  So, if you need something, please ask  I have thousands of bows ready to go and even more ribbon ready to be made into bows.  What is in the shop is the very tiniest tip of a huge iceberg.  Hopefully, I'll get some new items in the shop tomorrow.
